The Good

  • Great New Company
  • Two Pickups
  • Classic Look, Modern Play
  • Quality Wood

The Bad

  • Can Carry Noise

Great New Company: ESP is a company based in Asia. The Japanese manufacturer made its start in 1975 and have since produced a stunning array of solid body electric and bass guitars just like this one.
Two Pickups: The ESP LTD EC Series EC-1000 houses two EMG pickups – an EMG81 at the bridge and an EMG60 at the neck – for a seriously hard rockin’ good time.
Classic Look, Modern Play: The famous Eclipse body style of this model perfectly blends that classic guitar look with a modern take on performance capability.
Quality Wood: This guitar’s mahogany body is set in with a mahogany neck, creating a warm electric sound. There are also three controls near the pickup switch, which include volume knobs for the acoustic, electric and tonal qualities. This beauty seems to growl.
Can Carry Noise: The pickups themselves have been subject to scrutiny because of their tendency to carry a lot of noise. That aside the extra-jumbo frets aren’t too easy to get around.
