The Good

  • Food Capacity
  • Easy To Use
  • Mobility
  • Rugged Design

The Bad

  • Limited Controls
  • No Viewing Window

Food Capacity: For a machine that takes up so little space, the Smokin-It Model #2 can still cook up to 35 pounds of meat or seafood. Three cooking racks come included with this model, but it has room for four.
Easy To Use: While simplicity can be a fault, it lends itself to the design of the Smokin-It Model #2. A rheostat controls the temperature up to 250 degrees, a drip pan slides underneath the machine and there’s a smoke box included for wood chips. Other than your smoking pleasure, that’s all there is to it.
Mobility: While many electric smokers come with small wheels on the back, the Smokin-It Model #2 comes with wheels on all four sides and handles to match. There’s very little hassle when moving this machine around.
Rugged Design: Made from 100 percent, 18 gauge, 201 stainless steel, this unit was built to handle whatever you throw at it. Plus, this machine’s three-year warranty is the longest of all our picks.
Limited Controls: Unlike many¬†electric smokers on the market, the Smokin-It Model #2 doesn’t include a digital display, let alone a remote control. The machine’s rheostat only controls temperature and the rest is on the user to monitor.
No Viewing Window: Not having a viewing window isn’t the end of the world, but it’s more fun to salivate while watching food cook right in front of you.
